Peace River

Of all of the trips that Creation Expeditions offers, the Peace River Expedition is by far the most popular. There is just something about the camping, canoeing a stretch of the beautiful Peace River, and best of all; finding lots of fossils for you to take home for your family and friends.

The rewards of the trip extend beyond just the fossils. You and your family will be allowed to participate in the learning about Florida and why we have so many fossils of many different animals like Giant Ground Sloths (four stories tall), Giant Glyptodonts (size of VW bug), and the largest shark teeth that God created from the Megalodon.

What better way could you get your family excited about creation science? Creation is one way that God reveals himself to his people. Sharing that with your family is greater than any vacation at Disney!

When you first arrive at the campground on Thursday, setting up camp becomes the first priority. The evening is spent at Snowbird Hall learning about fossils and God's creation. Then we all retire to a warm campfire and often a few snacks.

The morning begins early with a pancake breakfast provided for only $3.00 at the Snowbird Hall. Then our wonderful experience begins on the river with a shoreline dig. That night, we will have a show and tell. This is your opportunity to share with others what you found on the river today.

On Saturday, a fossil float down the river is planned. The weekend is topped off with a Sunday morning service. Breaking down camp is undertaken, and we all part ways.

Creation Expeditions offers trips custom made to your group, with some of the best fossil guides in the country. Spend the day canoeing down the Peace River and digging on some of the richest fossil sites in Florida.

Note: In case of bad weather or flood water, all attendees will receive a rain check for the same trip ASAP after the weather or flood has passed. No refunds.
